Magdalena is powered by a global group of contributors. Here are a few key members shaping our mission.

  • Two young men smiling inside a modern tiny home or RV with stairs, kitchen sink, and windows, during daytime.

    Felipe Camacho and Hernando Aparicio

Felipe and Hernando set out in 2023 to create an affordable housing experience tailored for the unique needs of rural areas like Anderson Valley, California. With Hernando serving as CEO of Magdalena and Felipe as an early angel investor, they activated a model that bridges countries, cultures, and communities. By organizing resources across borders and staying focused on resident experience and quality of life, Magdalena has delivered a proven approach to sustainable, affordable housing—one that is kind, respectful, and effective. Today, Hernando and Felipe serve as Co-CEOs.

  • A man in a blue t-shirt and black pants hiking through tall golden grass in a hilly, green landscape with trees and shrubs under a clear, sunny sky.

    Roland Lim

Roland provided the financing that launched Magdalena’s very first rental studio—giving the project the lift it needed to get off the ground. Beyond his early investment, Roland has been a steady source of advice and encouragement, offering both strategic insight and hands-on support. A frequent visitor to Anderson Valley, Roland remains closely connected to the mission, helping to shape a future of affordable, dignified housing from the very beginning.

    Mauricio Chavez

Mauricio has been an essential force behind the success of Magdalena. From preparing house sites and installing homes to responding promptly to every maintenance or repair need, Mauricio is the go-to person for residents and team members alike. His hands-on skill, dedication, and warm spirit have made him a cornerstone of the Magdalena experience. Trusted, appreciated, and deeply valued, Mauricio is truly part of the Magdalena family.

    Avery and Oliver Ramin

Avery and Oliver Ramin have been tremendous contributors to Magdalena, not only through their investments but also as a rich source of knowledge on real estate and rentals. With multi-generational experience in the business, they bring a wealth of insight and have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They’ve become an integral part of the Magdalena team.

    The Fernández Family

Mena, Miguel, and little Mila have played a vital role in expanding Magdalena. Pictured here in Yorkville, they’ve helped bring additional homes to life through their financial support and commitment to thoughtful, beautiful housing. Their eye for aesthetics and steadfast support elevate the project’s quality, and Mila brings a joyful energy that reminds us of the next generation. We’re deeply grateful to count the Fernández family as part of the Magdalena story.

    Kyle Kolasa

We are thrilled to have Kyle Kolasa supporting Magdalena with his creativity and expertise. Kyle brings a sharp eye for photography that beautifully captures the spirit of our homes and communities, while also shaping our social media presence to share that vision with a wider audience. Beyond the visuals, he is helping refine our sales strategy, ensuring our message connects with the right people. His contributions have been invaluable in strengthening Magdalena’s brand and expanding our reach.

    Jean Gibson and Sami Moskow

Jean and Sami have been invaluable members of the Magdalena team, particularly on the sales front. Their keen understanding of connecting with customers and offering genuinely helpful insights has been crucial to our outreach. Both Jean and Sami were instrumental in planning and executing our most recent open house, ensuring its great success. Jean, in particular, has been essential in building strong connections within the Anderson Valley community.
